Private investigator hired after Toti woman’s disappearance

The family of a woman who went missing last month in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal has reportedly hired a private investigator.

“We have a private investigator on the case, and there has been no success in tracing her cellphone. Her car, a Kia Picanto with registration number ND 637-359, has been reported as stolen,” said her employer, South Coast Sun reported.

Lorraine Bothma, 43, was last seen leaving Ollies Restaurant on Sunday, March 29 at about 8.30pm.

Anyone with information on Bothma’s whereabouts may contact her brother Garth on 083 501 1885.

A missing person case has been opened at Amanzimtoti Police Station.

Investigations are ongoing.

In a separate incident, a woman who went missing in January 9 was found dead in a ditch in Gcilima, near Southbroom, in KwaZulu-Natal.

Hendrik Havenga had died from a gunshot wound to the head, said police spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka.
