Proteas to get R56m sponsor

The ODI World Cup is set to start in the first week of October.

An Indian food company is set to sponsor the Proteas during the ODI World Cup.

The Sunday Times reports that the deal with Amul would earn CSA $3m (about R56m).

CSA hopes to announce the sponsorship, which still needs to be approved by its board of directors, when the Proteas’ World Cup squad is named on September 5.

The Proteas have not had a sponsor since Standard Bank opted not to renew its title sponsorship deal in April 2020 due to CSA’s boardroom battles.
