Protest action blocks Ladysmith road

Motorists are advised to proceed with extreme caution when travelling towards Ladysmith this morning.

The road between Wasbank and Elandslaagte on the way to Ladysmith has been blocked by burning tyres and rocks as protest action flared up.

It is believed that protest action stems from frustration over a lack of water in the area.

Some motorists have had to turn around and travel through Dannhauser to get past the blocked areas.
