Santa in the chimney? Middelburg thief arrested after falling through roof

A private security company's officers were called to the scene where a man with stolen goods were found in a roof.

A thief was apprehended by Mid Alarms, after he attempted to hide in the roof at the offices of Dr Etswani in Middelburg.

A client at a nearby BN Cell pressed their panic button, alerting Mid Alarms officers Richard Sadi and Albert Muller, to arrive at the scene.

The suspect reportedly broke into the offices of Dr Etswani, where he tried to hide in the roof. He proceeded to fall through the roof, injuring his leg in the process.

The bag used to store the stolen car parts.

The suspect is said to have stolen several car parts from Ace Auto – storing the items in a bag.

The owner of Ace Auto confirmed the car parts that were in possession of the thief, were indeed his store’s stock.
