Schools wrap: Paarl Gim, Grey pummel rivals

Another weekend of scintillating school boy rugby delivered some high-scoring matches across the country.

Paarl Gimnasium routed SACS, as Grey College smashed Affies in the Free State on another weekend of exciting schools rugby across the country.

Paarl Gim cruised to a one-sided 73-3 victory in the Cape Winelands, while Grey claimed bragging rights with a 60-19 win over their rivals from Pretoria.

Elsewhere in the Western Cape, there were also gritty wins for Paarl Boys’ High, Paul Roos Gym and Boland Landbou, along with a 13-13 stalemate between Stellenberg and Oakdale.

In Gauteng, Jeppe, Pretoria Boys’ High and KES triumphed in high-scoring clashes against Northwood, St Benedict’s and Westville, respectively.

Also, Hoërskool Fichardtpark blanked HTS Louis Botha in Bloemfontein, and in action from the Eastern Cape, Selborne got the better of Dale (26-12), and Grey High and Marlow edged Queen’s and Framesby.
