Security guard shot in alleged robbery in KZN
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a man’s shooting in Durban this morning.

Paramedics responded to a shooting after a security guard was shot in his abdomen this morning, in an alleged altercation and robbery in Musgrave, Durban.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, at around 09:00 this morning ALS Paramedics received numerous calls of a shooting incident that occurred on John Zikhali Road, just after Essenwood Road, in the Musgrave area.
“Paramedics arrived to find SAPS in attendance and were shown to a security officer who had been shot in his abdomen as a result of an alleged robbery that had occurred,” says Jamieson.
ALS Paramedics worked to stabilise the man at the scene before he was rushed to the nearby Ahmed Al Khadi Private Hospital for further care.
“At this stage, the events leading up to the shooting are unknown, however, SAPS will be investigating further,” says Jamieson.
