Seven gravediggers treated for suspected food poisoning in Limpopo
Health experts from Malamulele Hospital were dispatched to investigate the matter.
Seven people from Xigamani Village, outside Malamulele, have been treated and discharged from Malamulele Hospital following a suspected case of food poisoning, Polokwane Review reports.
Health Department spokesperson, Neil Shikwambana says all seven people, who are believed to be village gravediggers, were complaining of abdominal pains after sharing a meal on Thursday.
“Health experts from Malamulele Hospital were dispatched to investigate the matter. Once again, the department wishes to advise people to take full heed of health safety measures when handling and preparing food,” he says.
