Slain KZN cop’s fiancé arrested for his murder

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a police sergeant who was found dead outside his flat in 2022.

A 34-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday for the alleged murder of her police officer fiancé, Sergeant Sakhile Manyisa.

KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said a meticulous investigation by the Provincial Organised Crime Unit, uMhlali Task Team, uMhlali K9 Unit, KwaDukuza police and Crime Intelligence officers provided a breakthrough in the mysterious murder of the police officer, leading to the suspect’s arrest.

On Saturday, Netshiunda said the team pounced on the 34-year-old woman at a fast food outlet in Waterloo, KZN, where she works as a store manager.
