Son threatens to rape mom: Manhunt launched

He attacked, insulted and assaulted his mother, and threatened to burn down her house – local police.

Kagiso Police are searching for a man who not only threatened to burn down his mother’s house, but to rape her as well.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, Kagiso Police spokesperson explained that the incident occurred on Saturday, 10 October.

He said the victim was at her home when her son arrived in the afternoon.

“He attacked, insulted and assaulted his mother, and threatened to burn down her house. The suspect further threatened to rape his mother,” Sibiya said.

The woman then reported the matter to the police who have since launched a manhunt for the suspect.

“Anyone who threatens the life of elders and abuse them in any way will be dealt with accordingly. Domestic violence, associated with gender-based violence will not be tolerated as long as we are in charge,” Kagiso Police’s station commander, Brigadier Themba Maduna, warned strongly.
