Spaza shop assistant shot during robbery in Mossel Bay
Information is sought that may lead to the arrest of three men who stormed a shop in KwaNonqaba, and wounded the shop assistant.
Three masked men robbed a spaza shop in KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay, last night.
According to the KwaNonqaba police, the owner of Simunye Spaza Shop in Mawawa Street was held at gunpoint and robbed.
According to reports, the men entered the store and demanded money. There were shots fired and a 34-year-old shop assistant was wounded in the leg. The assailants then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The victim was rushed to the provincial hospital.
A case of business robbery is being investigated.
