Taxi crashes into fast food outlet in KZN

Paramedics said the taxi driver fled the scene before the arrival of first responders.

Three children were injured after the minibus taxi they were travelling in crashed into a fast-food outlet on Moss Street in the Verulam CBD, in KZN, on Saturday morning.

Prem Balram, spokesperson for Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) said reaction officers arrived at the scene just before 09:00.

“It was established that three children sustained minor injuries after a blue Toyota Hiace taxi they were passengers in crashed into a fast food outlet.

“The driver fled the scene prior to the arrival of first responders,” said Balram.
