Police are investigating two murder cases that occurred in two separate incidents, two hours apart, last night.

A man was gunned down and killed in Illing Road last night. Police responded to the shooting at about 18:35.

In another incident two people were shot on the Driefontein.

Ladysmith SAPS were called out at about 20:30 and found two individuals with gunshot wounds.

One of the two victims sadly succumbed to fatal injuries sustained, while the other person received medical attention and was taken to hospital.

The identities of the deceased have not been made public.
