Trio apprehended in Dundee following death of a man in house fire

The body of a man was found in the gutted house.

Three people have been taken in for questioning following the death of a man in a house that was set ablaze on Beaconsfield Street, Dundee early this morning.

Ronnie Calitz, a panelbeater, was found dead in his house opposite the Dundee High School hostel. His bakkie, bearing the sign Ronnies Auto Clinic, was missing, Northern Natal News reports.

The Fire Brigade contained the blaze but most of the interior of the house was gutted. The body was later found in the house.

Acting on information, Dundee and Glencoe SAPS traced the missing bakkie to a house on Mosque Lane, adjacent to the railway line in Glencoe.

A man was found hiding under a bed. He was arrested. His sister and her boyfriend, who live nearby, were also taken in for questioning.

This is a developing story and more details will be published when these become available.
