Tshegofatso Pule’s killer convicted after turning State witness

He signed a plea to testify against the alleged mastermind behind the murder who has since been arrested.

Muzikayise Malephane, the accused of slain Tshegofatso Pule’s murder has been found guilty by the South Gauteng High Court after signing a plea agreement with the State on Friday, 19 February.

Malephane admitted to four counts of charges against him, comprising of the murder of Tshegofatso, defeating the ends of justice and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

He was then convicted of the charges and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment on condition that he testified against the core mastermind of the murder, who has since been arrested.
