Two people were reportedly brutally murdered on their Doornranjies plot in Centurion on Saturday.

The emergency response team, however, declined to comment on the matter due to the severity of the murders.

Erasmia police spokesperson Seargeant Tumisang Moloto, confirmed that two people were killed in the incident.

However, Moloto said the circumstances surrounding the incident were unclear at this stage.

“The incident occurred on Saturday, and the police attended the matter,” said Moloto.

“We have since opened an inquest case for further police investigation.”

Moloto could not confirm if the shooting resulted from a house robbery.

“At this stage, it’s unclear whether some items were taken; however, we are investigating circumstances surrounding the incident.”
