Two dead and four injured in N11 collision in KZN

A woman and a young child died in a head-on collision in KwaZulu-Natal earlier today.

Two people died in a head-on collision on the N11 just outside Newcastle earlier this afternoon.

According to an official source, when officials arrived at the scene, they found that several people had sustained serious injuries.

“A young child as well as an adult female had sadly passed away. A baby was seriously injured and had to be rushed to hospital for urgent medical care and three adults had also sustained injuries,” he said.

One of the drivers was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extracted with the assistance of the fire brigade.

The exact cause of the collision is still unclear at this stage and will remain subjective to further investigation.
