Two more arrested in R14m Eskom fraud sting, one on the run
The Hawks are still looking for one person who is thought to be involved in an Eskom fraud probe of a missing R14m.
Two more suspects have been arrested and appeared alongside Thandeka Innocentia Nkosi, an Eskom Matla Power Station employee, who was arrested on charges of fraud related to more than R14m siphoned from the money coffers of the embattled power supplier.
During a recent Hawks probe it was discovered that during March to April 2013, Nkosi, who was employed by Eskom at Arnot Power Station as a Senior Buyer, colluded with another accused, a director of Angel Frost Investment (PTY) Ltd.
The newly charged suspects were released on R100 000 bail alongside Nkosi and another. A 71-year old co-accused received R30 000 bail.
They all appeared in the Hendrina Magistrate’s Court yesterday. A sixth suspect is still on the run.
The next court date has been set down for May 5.
