The suspects were found still on the property by police and security.

Two suspects were arrested this morning by Blue Security armed response officers and the police, who found the alleged housebreakers hiding in a property in uMhlanga.

Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said armed response officers went to the home in Ridge Road after the company received an alarm signal indicating from the property at around 10:15am.

“On arrival our officers found the security gate wide open and two suspects still on the property.

“They called the police and radioed for further back-up at the scene where the team then searched the property and found one suspect on the balcony and a second suspect who was armed with a knife, hiding inside a built-in cupboard,” he said.

Jackson said the Durban North police took the suspects into custody.
