Video: Female crime duo hit doctor’s office
A video has surfaced showing two women committing a robbery at a Johannesburg doctors’ office.
While one woman distracts the receptionists by filling out forms, a second woman sneaks into the offices unnoticed.
She returns with what appears to be a laptop in her hand and promptly places it in her handbag.
It is believed the robbery took place in the Johannesburg South area, but the exact location remains unclear.
Last week, a video showing two women employing the same modus operandi emerged.
In the video taken at a business in Hurlingham, near Sandton, in northern Johannesburg last month, a woman is seen distracting receptionists while a second woman pockets a cellphone.
It is unclear if it is the same women in both videos.
According to one of the receptionists, Gerda de Jager, the woman who was setting up the appointment provided false details, Sandton Chronicle reported.
“You can clearly see from the video footage how the first lady moved further up the counter so that I would not be able to see what the other lady was doing,” de Jager added.
A case of theft was later opened with Randburg police.
