Video: Husband arrested after woman’s body found in car boot at Alberton shopping centre
Two men, who were offered a job by a stranger, discovered a woman’s body in a car at Bracken Square.
A woman’s body was discovered in the boot of a white BMW 3 Series at Bracken Square Shopping Centre in Brackenhurst yesterday (January 9), Alberton Record reported.
It is reported that the car is registered to the victim. A man believed to be the victim’s husband was arrested today.
Alberton SAPS said he will remain in custody until his appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court this coming week.

According to police, two men reported that they were approached by an unknown man earlier in the day by who offered them a job and requested a driver with a valid licence.

The men drove with the individual to Randhart, where he got out of the vehicle and instructed them to meet him later at Bracken Square.
When the man failed to arrive at the agreed meeting point, the men became suspicious and decided to inspect the vehicle.
During their inspection, they allegedly noticed traces of blood and hair inside the car. This led them to open the boot, where they discovered the woman’s body.
The men initially sought assistance at Brackendowns SAPS but reportedly did not receive help. They later reported the matter to Katlehong North SAPS, who responded and opened a murder investigation.
Police confirmed that a murder investigation is underway. The weapon used in the commission of the crime is also still unknown.
The SAPS said no further information can be released at this stage as investigations continue.
