Video: Kidnapping victim found in Pretoria
Information is sought about a kidnapping incident that saw a BMW X3 and two cellphones being taken.
An carjacking and kidnapping victim from Amandasig, Pretoria, has been found unharmed.
Pretoria Rekord reports local police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said the victim was hijacked and kidnapped in The Orchards, north of Pretoria, around 21:30 yesterday.
“The victim was found unharmed the same night in Lotus Gardens. The suspects made way with the victim’s BMW X3 vehicle and two iPhones,” added Nevhuhulwi.
She said the suspects are currently unknown, and police are investigating a case of carjacking, kidnapping and attempted murder.
“Anyone with information that can assist police is requested to contact their nearest police station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”

Motorists are advised to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
In a separate incident, five people were arrested this week on a charge of kidnapping.
Police said the five suspects in the kidnapping of Pretoria businessman Baboo Kaytex and his wife were arrested on Monday morning in Mamelodi and appeared in court yesterday.
