Video: Mpumalanga cops seek gang that robbed filling station

Police are on the hunt for those responsible for a business bombing just off the N17 highway earlier today.

Armed robbers pounced on a filling station near Secunda in Mpumalanga early this morning.

The thieves robbed the Sasol N17 filling station located just off the highway at Kinross, Evander, and then bombed the safe.

It is said that the incident occurred at around 01:30 and that shots were exchanged between the robbers and security personnel of a private company.

Reports suggest getaway vehicles were parked next to the road.

Local police have requested drivers of vehicles fitted with dash cams who passed the filling station or the highway (in the Bethal or Leandra direction) between 01:30 and 03:00, to contact them on 072 382 6607.
