VIDEO: Petrol station scuffle caught on camera

A scuffle reportedly broke out between a young man, a taxi driver and some of his passengers following a disagreement over a petrol pump at petrol station in Witpoortjie, on the West Rand.

A female motorist felt the taxi ‘stole’ her rightful spot at the Total petrol station and first, a war of words between her, her male passenger and the taxi driver broke out yesterday.

According to bystanders, the passanger then called the taxi driver using a racist term and proceeded to get out of the vehicle with what looked like a piece of a hosepipe, Roodepoort Record reported.

The taxi driver then reportedly got out and the young man chased after him.

He managed to assault the driver with the hose-pipe but when one of the taxi driver’s passengers decided to join.

The young man was then allegedly chased and beaten.

A man from the carwash at the garage attempted to calm down tempers and advised the taxi driver to rather leave.

In a separate incident, video footage emerged showing an apparent road rage incident in which one person was allegedly stabbed in Parktown, in Johannesburg.

In the video, captured outside McAuley House School, a man wearing a helmet is seen charging at another man believed to be a motorist. The motorist then drags the biker down and beats him.

As the two men continue to scuffle on the ground, security guards are seen intervening.

During the fight, it seems one man was stabbed as the motorist is seen with blood stains at the back of his shirt. It remains unclear as to what led to the altercation.
