Videos: Fatal collision between train and school bus near Middelburg
The number of fatalities is not yet known but emergency services personnel are on the scene where concerned parents have gathered.
Emergency services are currently on the scene where five people reportedly died in an accident involving a school bus and a train.
It is reported that some of the learners are trapped under the train.
The collision happened just after 16:00 in Mafube Village at Pan Stasie (old Belfast Road) near Middelburg in Mpumalanga.
Concerned family members of those involved in the crash are currently on the scene trying to identify them.
A paramedic had to intervene to control the crowd.
