Videos: South African sensation Foster signs for Burnley

Championship club Burnley adds Soweto-born striker Lyle Foster to their attacking options as they push for promotion to the Premier League.

South African forward Lyle Foster has signed for Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the EFL Championship. Foster signs for an undisclosed fee from Belgian side K.V.C Westerlo.

The 22-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half year deal to join the Clarets at Turf Moor, as Burnley – who are leading the way in the EFL Championship – make a push to return to the Premier League.

His contract will run until June 30, 2027 and he will don the number 12 jersey.

Transfermarkt indicates that the talented Soweto-born striker amassed eight goals in 21 appearances for his previous side in the Jupiler Pro League.
