Watch: Mutilated bodies of two boys discovered in Soweto

The two boys were reported missing at Moroka Police Station and a search team involving different stakeholders was launched last night.

Soweto residents are shaken after the bodies of two children who were reported missing on Wednesday were found at different locations this morning.

The boys’ mutilated bodies were discovered in White City and Rockville.

“Last night around 20:00 on our WhatsApp group we received a message about two children who had gone missing. Their parents were already at the police station to report the matter,” explains one of the White City patrollers, Thabisa Payi.

“As patrollers we started searching at about 02:00 this morning and that’s when we discovered one of the bodies.”

Payi says the boys had been playing near Thokoza Park when they went missing.

“It was three boys but one managed to run away when they were chased by a white car.”

Brigadier Sevha Shivuri, the station commander of Moroka Police Station, confirmed that the parents reported the two boys missing last night.

According to the station commander, a search was immediately launched last night and the two bodies were found this morning with some body parts missing.

No arrests have been made and the police have launched an investigation.
