Watch: SA cancer survivor dances everyone to tears on Britain’s Got Talent
The applause from the crowd was so deafening that judges struggled to give audible feedback on his performance.
It was goosebumps and tears as a South African amputee danced his way into the semi-finals after the audience demanded he gets a Golden Buzzer during Britain’s Got Talent auditions.
Musa Motha (27) told judges Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and Simon Cowell that he used to play soccer before he was diagnosed with cancer and subsequently lost his leg. He fell in love with music and his friends taught him how to dance, using his crutch in the place of his amputated leg.
Motha, who recently moved to London, proved that it is possible to fly over the stage. Dancing to Beyonce’s Runnin, he had the audience on their feet. The judges’ attempts to comment on his performance were inaudible as the crowd continued to cheer and demand a Golden Buzzer.
All four judges pushed the buzzer together, showering an emotional Motha with golden confetti before they went to the stage to congratulate him.
As Cowell embraced him, he said: “That was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in all the years…”
