A young woman died shortly after being taken to the hospital following a shooting on Pastoll Road in Pinetown, KZN, just after 08:00 this morning.

Advance Life Support (ALS) Paramedics reported that security companies were on the scene when they arrived.

“A female believed to be in her 20s was found in critical condition, with multiple gunshot wounds to her body,” says ALS spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

ALS Paramedics worked to stabilise her before she was rushed to a nearby Durban hospital for treatment. She passed away a short while after arriving at the hospital.

Jamieson says the events leading up to the incident are unknown, however, SAPS were at the scene and are investigating.
