The KTM rider clocked three hours, 34 minutes and 17 seconds on Friday and 3:22,34 on Saturday.

The fourth and fifth legs were held at Lion’s Head Lodge and the surrounding plantations and indigenous bush.

The sun blazed down and conditions were extremely dry and dusty.

Teasdale was simply in a class of his own. He beat second-placed Barend Erasmus (4:00,17/3:29,29), also on a KTM, by 26 minutes on Friday and by just under seven minutes on Saturday.

Warick Neave finished third in both legs. He clocked 4:01,38 on Friday and 4:12,9 on Saturday.
