Meet the Ferrari HC25
A new one-off supercar from Ferrari combines dramatic styling with a twin-turbo V8 capable of 340km/h.
Ferrari has whipped the wraps off the HC25, a specially built model from the Italian automaker’s One-Off series – the latter forming part of the Maranello manufacturer’s Special Projects programme.
Based on the F8 Spider, the HC25 employs a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 529kW and 770Nm of torque, available from 7 000 and 3 250r/min, respectively. The mid-rear-mounted powertrain revs up to an 8 000r/min redline. Power is exclusively delivered to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
According to Ferrari, the HC25’s outputs allow for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 2.9 seconds, before breaching the 200km/h marker 5.3 seconds later, at 8.2 seconds. The top speed is rated at 340km/h. Bringing this one-of-a-kind Ferrari to a standstill is a set of 398mm front/360mm rear brake discs.
The HC25 is finished in Moonlight Grey exterior paintwork, replete with contrasting black trim elements – the latter including the distinctive ‘ribbon’ that wraps around the car and features an an arrow-shaped design at each side. The ribbon incorporates essential thermal-management components, such as the air intakes for the radiators and heat extraction for the powertrain.
At the front, the bespoke headlamps features vertical daytime-running lights – a first for a Ferrari. Measuring 4 758mm in length and 2 006mm in width, the one-off Ferrari’s striking bodywork wraps around unique five-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. The 20-inch items are shod in 245/35- and 305/35-size tyres, front and rear.
