Durban Girls’ College was delighted with the outstanding results achieved by the Matric Class of 2018. DGC was one of only five schools in South Africa, and one of two schools in KwaZulu-Natal, to have three pupils on the ‘IEB Outstanding List’. The Class of 2018 achieved a 100% Bachelor Degree pass rate, with a total of 226 distinctions attained and 77% of all symbols being an A and B.

College House provides weekly boarding facilities from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The gracious boarding house set in tranquil gardens offers a ‘home-away-from-home’ experience with beautifully-appointed, comfortable accommodation and delicious home-cooked meals.

DGC has earned a hard-won reputation for being a top sporting school. World-class on-campus facilities and an excellent team of elite coaches provide the girls with a competitive edge.

DGC’s Global initiatives Programme provides an exchange programme in Grade 10 and the opportunity to attend leadership summits to the USA, Singapore, and France in Grade 11. DGC’s summit, girl.talk@dgc, deals with the social and global demands on today’s young women.

At Durban Girls’ College, drama, music, and art take ‘centre-stage’ and there are numerous platforms for creative expression. Founded in 1877, Durban Girls’ College is a Christian School for girls from Grade 00 to Grade 12.
