Jamming to urban pops
Crawford North Coast were accompanied by the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Izulu Theatre at Sibaya came alive with song last Tuesday when Crawford North Coast presented Urban Pops.
The music students of Crawford North Coast were accompanied by the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Naum Rousine.
A delighted audience was entertained by the collaborative voices of the Crawford College and Preparatory choirs as well as the Open Air School Choir. The College’s talented music students also performed a number of solo musical items on piano, violin and thabla, while the choir thrilled the audience with classics like Can’t take my eyes off of you and Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.
Guest artist, Nibs van der Spuy wowed the audience with some of his much loved and well-known songs which were adapted for the orchestra by College music teacher, Nina Watson. Clever choreography by the College dancers provided a wonderful backdrop to the musical performances.
