Sending Nats to Norway

North Coast's world champion cyclist Natalie Bergstrom hosted a fun filled fund raising event on Friday evening.

The aloha spirit filled the local world champ mountain biker Natalie Bergstrom’s Hawaiian themed fund raiser held at Collisheen Estate on Friday evening.

Bergstrom was raising funds to defend her world title in the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships to be held Lillehammer, Norway next year.

Family, friends and local businesses came out in numbers to support their champ and had a chance to bid for great prizes during the auction.

Prizes included a two night stay in Fairmount Zimbali, a getaway to the Springbok Lodge and one of the kind Natalie Bergstrom jacket designed by the cyclist and Nkwazi Freedomwear.

“I am thankful to everyone who have supported my fund raisers, from individuals to businesses who sponsored vouchers and hampers.” said Bergstrom.

The mother of two will now be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win an appliance at Tiffany’s Shopping Centre on December 7.

“There are still a lot of prizes to be given away so we are going to have more of these fund raising events to help get me to Norway,” said Bergstrom.
