Organic wares and local flair in Salt Rock

Local market not to be missed.

Organic produce, delicious cheeses and local, hand made products were the order of the day at The Garden and CT Organics’ Easter open day today.

The pioneer of CT Organics, Natasha Skerritt set up shop at her aunt’s house on Little Maritzburg Road, giving it a homely feel with an incredible view of the Indian ocean.

“We had an open day in November in Hill Lane, and decided to do it again here. So this is the second one,” said Skerrit, a designer who sources her goods locally.

A range of goods including, wood, pottery, beauty products, clothes, organic foods, plants and a hundred other trinkets of unique design were on show and everything was for sale.

“I make all of these items by hand from my home in Dunkirk estate and supply to local shops,” she said.

Skerritt plans to host three of these events a year.

Also showcasing her wares was Boutique clothing owner Morgan Gotz while Sean Finch’s unpasteurised cheeses proved a treat for the palette.

The event will continue for the day tomorrow and breakfast and lunch meals are available.

Head to 19 Little Maritzburg Road, Salt Rock to see what it is all about, or call Natasha on 0761777400 for more information.
