Turn up the volume at the Ballito Pro 2019 Music Concerts Powered by 5FM

SA music legends will be amplifying the ‘rock’ in Salt Rock Main Beach with the free Ballito Pro 2019 Music Concerts Powered by 5FM on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 from 4pm.

Kicking off on Thursday, concert-goers will party it up with Durban’s own Gqom duo, Distruction Boyz.

Having developed their individual styles at taverns and shisa nyama’s across KwaMashu, Thobani ‘Que’ Mgobhozi and Zipho ‘Goldmax’ Mthembu decided to join forces and have continued to impress Mzansi with their original sound.

Also on the stage will be award-winning singer and songwriter, Lady Zamar. Joining these two iconic acts will be Joburg’s DJ Lloyd with his signature vibey sound that is certain to get the party underway.

He will perform alongside 5FM’s Ryan the DJ, hip-hop and rap star, Smizzy, as well as Urban Centurion and Funky Finest.

Friday is party time and will see you dance into the weekend to the sound of the kwela-indie punk band Desmond & the Tutus.

One of the country’s best-selling musical artists of all time – The Parlotones – will be sure to put on an unmissable performance featuring some of their old-school favourites and new hits from their recently-launched album, China.

Durban-born Msizi James, co-host of the 5FM Drive-time show and skilled deep house club DJ will be heating up the stage with master nightclub DJ, Kyle Cassim.

Also on the cards for the night are music maestros Nu Level, Ronel Ree, Freddy L and Zamar.

Festival organiser Collette Bundy said the incredible music line-up at the two-night concert is an annual festival highlight.

“Outside of the concert programme, music-lovers can also enjoy some incredible DJing at the After Dark Parties – hosted by Crush Ballito, running throughout the festival. There’s something for everyone,” said Bundy.
