JOHANNESBURG – A stabbing incident that occurred at Madison Avenue on February 5 has led to the death of a teenager in Sandton.

The local nightclub confirmed the incident on its Facebook page on February 6, noting that the victim was attacked by an unknown suspect a few metres away from the parking lot.

“[The] venue owner, security, police and emergency services were on scene to assist. The suspect was detained and is now in police custody,” read the statement.

According to ER24, paramedics arrived on the scene at 22:45, along with another medical service, to find the teenager lying in the street with a fatal stab wound to the chest.

“He, unfortunately, showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival.”

Captain Bheki Xulu of the Sandton Police Station has confirmed the incident.
