Illegal power connections claim a life

Illegal electricity connections continue to pose a serious danger.

A man was found dead last week in Mkholombe near Bhobhoyi, in KwaZulu-Natal, apparently as a result of electrocution, the South Coast Herald reports.

Illegal electricity connections continue to pose a hazard to life and limb, not only in Mkholombe, but also in Masinege near Uvongo.

Robert Mckenzie from KwaZulu-Natal EMS said the man in his 20s tripped and fell on to the exposed electrical wires.
