Are you ready for an afternoon of good vibes and amazing music from one of South Africa’s freshest musical acts?
Hailing from Cape Town, iconic band Freshlyground will bring their unique musical style to Sugar Rush Park for fans to enjoy while picnicking with friends and family this Sunday.
Their unmistakable mix of South African folk music, blues, jazz, and indie rock make Freshlyground one of South Africa’s most iconic acts.
“We are really looking forward to another great day out this Sunday, when Freshlyground bring their music, theatre and charm to Ballito,” said Ballito Beats Series Director Stu Berry of Impi Concept Events.
Durban duo, the Kickstands will open the stage at 1.45pm, followed by Freshlyground at 3pm.
Gates open at 1pm and ticket holders are encouraged to bring camping chairs and picnic blankets to make the most of the beautiful setting at Sugar Rush Park.
Savour great food and beverages which can be bought on site (picnic baskets are allowed, but no beverages), take advantage of a fully supervised kiddies zone, and of course, listen to some of the best musical talent South Africa has to offer.
Tickets are available from WebTickets at R130 for adults and R70 for children.

Upcoming events
The Marriott Ballito Beats Music Series will offer the North Coast community an opportunity to see award-winning bands like Freshlyground perform right in their very own backyard – adding something entertaining to the Ballito social scene, as it brings people together in the open fields of Sugar Rush Park for the ultimate family entertainment.
Last month the first of the Music Series concerts kicked off in a downpour of record rainfall.
Regardless, local Ballito fans came prepared; with gum boots, umbrellas and high spirits as Mango Groove, one of South Africa’s most iconic bands, entertained fans young and old.
In September locals can look forward to The Parlotones, followed by Arno Carstens and Ard Matthews in October.
All shows will take place on a Sunday afternoon, with gates opening at 1pm.
