With the objective of consistently meeting the individual needs of every customer, SPAR has introduced two loyalty programmes aimed at giving back to their loyal customers.

Pensioners Day

Every Tuesday is Pensioners Day at Lifestyle SUPERSPAR.

Apart from receiving up to 6% discounts on the day, pensioners also get a free cup of tea or coffee and a cookie, as well as additional in-store specials.

“To register for the programme, pensioners (60 years and older) simply have to complete the application form, which is available in-store, before receiving their pensioners card,” said Lifestyle SUPERSPAR manager Seelan Pillay.

Local pensioners have taken full advantage of this day, with regular shoppers such as Ballito residents Andriana Sammarchi and George and Dawn Dukes enjoying all the specials on offer.

“I am a regular at Lifestyle SUPERSPAR and am always happy to give my feedback to the managers,” said Andriana.

SPAR Rewards – WIN your groceries!

SPAR Rewards is an electronic product coupon programme designed to provide our customers with instant product savings.

Unlike most loyalty programmes where you earn points as you spend, with SPAR Rewards you get an instant Rand value off at the end of your purchase.

For a customer, the entire SPAR Rewards programme is managed from their cellphone.

There is a SPAR Rewards card for customers to redeem their Rewards, but this is optional as the customer can also use their cellphone number to redeem rewards.

How to join

When joining the programme, the customer does a once-off registration and this process links their cellphone number to the SPAR database so that they are instantly part of the rewards programme.

Rewards products change every two weeks and customers can view the various products on which they can claim rewards on their phone.

How to Redeem SPAR Rewards

1. Register on the SPAR Rewards website: me.spar.co.za or speak to Kelvin or Molly at Lifestyle SUPERSPAR.
2. Shop at Lifestyle SUPERSPAR to purchase any SPAR Rewards products.
3. Once the cashier has scanned through your SPAR Rewards products, provide your cellphone number at the till points and the electronic product coupons discount will be deducted at the end of your transaction.
4. Your electronic SPAR Rewards product coupons change regularly so make sure to look out for the new ones on the App or instore.
