Dolphin Coast teacher creates “a classroom in a book”
The books entitled 'I am a Star in English' specifically conform to grade R to four pupils globally and are based on the basic principles of childhood development as well as Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET).
Passionate about education and dedicated to making foundation learning fun, well-structured and meaningful, Selveena Charles a.k.a. Mrs Charles has created three books to help you master school.
With 34-years experience in foundation phase education, Mrs Charles has perfected the art of teaching.

“It gives me so much joy to see my children do well in my classroom and watch them grow up to become doctors or follow in my footsteps to become teachers.
“Seeing a child start with me with no English knowledge and helping them to learn 120 words, read and write in English within three months is just a miracle,” said Mrs Charles, who lives on the Dolphin Coast.
Inspired to help more children learn and grow from a solid foundation understanding, she created three educational books titled “I am a Star in English” which she launched in 2010.

“There are three books: grade R to one; grade two and grade three to four pupils.
“The books are compliant with the education department syllabus and they are based on the current CAPS system including plans for term one to four.
“They can be used by teachers in both private and government schools, nationally and internationally, as a self-study guide or by parents who homeschool their children.”
The lovingly created books cover all areas of learning from mathematics and phonics to life skills, handwriting and reading and have been a major hit with numerous copies sold already.
“The presentation is simple, logical and easy to understand.
“I have adopted an integrated and holistic approach to developing the physical, emotional, cognitive, social and educational abilities of your child/children,” said Mrs Charles.
