#AmINext: No more violence, says Ubuhle

Ubuhle HR and Management Consultants say they will not allow the #AmINext campaign to be forgotten.

The murder rate of women in South Africa is shocking to say the least and, Ubuhle HR and Management Consultants says that something needs to be done to see that our country’s women are protected.

At Ubuhle, all staff and management stand in solidarity with women and children across South Africa. The company says that their hearts break for those who have been victims of such terror.

Statistics that prove this struggle is far from over:

– South Africa’s murder rate of women is five times the global average.
– According to a study done at the Stellenbosch University, of 124 000 rape cases reported in the last three years, 41% were against children.
– Of the one in nine cases of rape reported, only four percent result in prosecution.
– It is expected that the numbers are much higher as a result of crimes going unreported.

The statistics speak for themselves and experts have revealed that South Africa’s murder rate against women is comparable to that of a country at war.
