Industry leaders IPSS Electronic Security expand to new premises

Labidi has a long-standing record in the Special Forces, has served as head of the VIP Protection Unit for German and Belgian members of parliament and is well known locally and abroad for his achievements in the fight against crime.

IPSS Electronic Security, headed by CEO Frank Labidi, has over 100 years of combined military and law enforcement experience and was founded nearly 20 years ago on the Dolphin Coast.

Labidi has a long-standing record in the Special Forces, has served as head of the VIP Protection Unit for German and Belgian members of parliament and is well known locally and abroad for his achievements in the fight against crime.

He is also the founder of Salt Rock Neighbourhood Watch, ex-committee member of several organisations combating crime and a well known business person.

Chief operating officer Brennon Knott is an ex-member of the Riot Police (now Public Order Policing). He has extensive experience in the security industry, heading large security firms in Johannesburg as Operations Director.

The founder’s vision to supply a high quality service to its clients by demanding a high level of professionalism from all staff members has been proven successful.

Over the last few years, IPSS Security has concentrated on estate security and has assembled a team which deals from implementation to execution regarding all aspects of estate security.

Protecting the Dolphin Coast community is no easy feat, but IPSS Electronic Security does it with a smile!

“The indication of our success is embedded in the trust most estates and future developers have invested in IPSS Security,” said Labidi.

“In late 2018 we assembled a Special Task Team to deal with land invasions. We are working closely together with Saps and have successfully stopped several land invasions.”

At the beginning of 2019 the company introduced their Air Support Unit, a first for the Dolphin Coast.

The newly formed unit supports ground units in emergencies, especially in cases of land invasions and carjacking.

IPSS Security is the leader in CCTV off site monitoring; 24 hour alarm monitoring and armed response; alarm installation and repairs; physical guarding; security consulting; VIP protection; CCTV installation and repairs; gate automation and repairs and access control systems.

In 2020 the company had outgrown their offices to such extent that they needed new offices.

“It took us a painstaking 5 months to revamp the building and build our South African Intruder Detection Services Association (SAIDSA) approved control room into one of the most advanced control centres in the country!”
