Gill Birch, The founder of The Fabric House Ballito, is moving towards semi-retirement and has handed the keys over to Ashleigh Tremearne.
It is a perfect opportunity for both women, allowing Gill to leave her business in the hands of Ashleigh, to bring a wealth of fresh ideas to the store.
“My mom has been shopping with Gill for 8 or 9 years and I just fell in love with the feel of the store whenever I visited,” said Ashleigh.
After studying fashion design in Cape Town, Ashleigh worked for 5 years in the advertising industry, always keeping an eye out for a creative opportunity.
With The Fabric House, she is able to take over an established brand while bringing her experience and ideas to the fore.
“I am entirely confident that Ashleigh will take this store to the next level with her fresh ideas and attitude,” said Gill.
The Fabric House supplies high-end and high-quality fabrics produced both locally and internationally, ensuring only the most on trend fabrics can be found in store.
Whether you are looking for a new scatter cushion to tie a room together, or a variety of 100% linen options, there is nowhere better to go on the North Coast.
The Fabric House can help you with curtains, headboards, the reupholstering of chairs and couches, wallpapers and many more options to revamp your home.
“We work very closely with a couple of local workshops to provide all our clients’ needs and desires for their homes and we ensure they are well looked after throughout the process,” said Ashleigh.
Situated in the heart of Ballito’s business hub on Douglas Crowe Drive, a touch of class is just around the corner.
“I am more than ready for a challenge and I cannot wait to carry on the legacy of such a well loved store!” said Ashleigh.
