#BestOfBallito: Ashton’s core values deliver growth

Head of marketing and creative, Bronwyn Bath, says they offer what could be termed as "two worlds in one", covering both the Independent Examination Board (IEB) and the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curricula.

Ashton International College Ballito has claimed the awards as Best Private Primary School and Best Private High School in The North Coast Courier Best of Ballito Readers’ Choice Awards.

The school noted the success of both schools is owed to Ashton’s unique brand concept within the context of the South African education system.

“These are highly credible and delivered professionally by the school’s educational team. Our dream team of staff are exceptional and qualified to teach both curricula. We recently introduced the Reggio Emilia educational concept to teach children through their own interests, at the same time inspiring lateral thinking to enhance their potential,” says Bath.

With the core focus always being on developing pupils’ minds, it becomes clear why Ashton International College won both awards.

“We pride ourselves in combining exciting and innovative new concepts in education by offering students the best of both worlds. We have state-of-the-art facilities and more, some of which have hosted a number of international sport events, too.”

Culture at Ashton International College Ballito has also grown tremendously over the past few years, with students exposed to various cultural opportunities, mainly driven by the drama and music departments.

“Our pupils, through their commitment, have created an inspiring atmosphere which continues to see other pupils motivated,” says Bath.

The ethos and philosophy at the school is to be value-driven, allowing for emphasis and encouragement to be placed on each individual child so that they become the best version of themselves.

Its strong Christian ethos, coupled with family values, continue to drive the school’s firm growth experienced over the past 10 years.
