Curro Salt Rock reaches new milestone
The school has a wide variety of subjects to choose from, further supplemented by an additional range of online subject choices for high school learners.
Curro Salt Rock has experienced significant growth in recent years, recently celebrating the milestone of reaching the 1 000 learner mark.
The school caters for children from three months old up to Grade 12, with three school entities on one campus.
Learners benefit from a set of supplementary academic support programmes, including among others the Mathematics and Science Academy, various sport academies, Curro Create, robotics, the Ladies and Gentlemen’s Society, Elevate Educate study skills seminars, and an in-house psychologist.
Curro also has onsite OT and reading specialists which offer lessons during the school day.
The sport and cultural offerings are well supported by state-of-the-art facilities such as an internationally certified AstroTurf and experienced coaching staff.
Curro strives to offer learners a balanced academic, cultural and sport environment.
Learners of all ages are introduced to a variety of cultural elements, such as chess, music and public speaking.
The aim is to keep expanding the opportunities on offer for learners.
Moving from the sport fields to the 21st century learning classroom, creative ideas, mental connections, interactive and real-life learning environments make it easier to teach complex subjects such as mathematics.
The school uses the Brombacher method of teaching mathematics – a method founded in 2003 by Aarnout Brombacher.
The foundation for problem solving and robotics is taught as early as pre-school with soft block interactions.
