The Gold Bar: Where motherhood meets leadership

The Gold Bar CEO Sholain Perumal recently embarked on the life changing journey of motherhood.

Being a mother and the CEO of a successful business often means juggling the demands of a career while meeting the needs of a family.

That has been part of the learning curve for The Gold Bar CEO, Sholain Perumal, who welcomed her baby boy six months ago.

As her first Mother’s Day approaches next weekend, Sholain reflected on her journey so far as a working mother.

“I always thought that I would have to sacrifice having a family if I wanted to build an empire and shatter glass ceilings. That is not the case,” she said.

“I’ve realised that in today’s world, we as women can break barriers and redefine success on our own terms. With the right mindset, strategies and support, it’s possible to excel at both – and do it with confidence.”

Sholain acknowledged that the journey has come with many challenges, but also with rewards greater than she had ever imagined.

The Gold Bar is a gold recycling company that buys unwanted gold jewellery and also sells investment coins.

You can find them at Ballito Junction or contact them at 077 601 9064.
