Ashton pupil named top in the world for Cambridge IGCSE physics
Kayne Naidoo was named Top in the World, while three other pupils earned Top in SA recognition.
Five Ashton International College Ballito pupils have been nationally and internationally recognised for their exceptional Cambridge results.
At the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for the November 2025 IGCSE and CIE examination series, Kayne Naidoo was named Top in the World for IGCSE Physical Science (98%).
Tavaria Rajoo (IGCSE Biology, 98%), Gabriella Bezuidenhout (IGCSE Accounting, 97%) and Grace Khoury (AS Level Geography, 90%) also finished top in South Africa for their respective subjects.
Yashin Arjoon closed out the Ashton award winners with a High Achievement recognition for his 95% result in A Level Accounting.
Senior college head Belinda Boucher said the school is immensely proud of the achievements.
“These outstanding results are a testament to the students’ hard work, intellectual curiosity, discipline and resilience, as well as the dedication and expertise of our teaching staff and the continued support of families,” she said.
“Achievements of this calibre do not happen by chance – they are the result of sustained commitment and a shared belief in excellence.”
Boucher noted that the results reinforce Ashton Ballito’s reputation for consistent academic excellence, with pupils continuing to perform at the highest level in international benchmarking.
“To our award recipients: your achievements are truly inspiring,” she said.
“You have brought great honour to your school and have paved the way for future Ashton students to dream boldly and work relentlessly. We celebrate your success and look forward to witnessing the many accomplishments still to come.”
