Annual Brettenwood Wine Festival brings residents together

Residents enjoyed more than 200 wines from across the country on May 23.

More than 350 Brettenwood residents gathered for the return of the Wine Festival on May 23, one of the estate’s most anticipated annual events.

Held under autumn skies, the festival showcased more than 200 wines from 37 wine estates across South Africa. Guests had the opportunity to meet winemakers, sample a diverse range of wines and discover new favourites while taking advantage of exclusive cellar-door pricing.

The festival tent provided the setting for an afternoon of wine tasting, socialising and live entertainment, with music by René Tshiakanyi adding to the atmosphere. Food offerings from Woodlands Café, Bluff Meats and local vendors complemented the wine selection.

“Events like the Brettenwood Wine Festival are about much more than wine,” said Brettenwood marketing and events manager Samantha Subban.

“They create opportunities for residents to connect, support local businesses and enjoy the lifestyle that makes our community so special. Seeing more than 350 residents come together for an afternoon of celebration was incredibly rewarding.”

Subban also thanked the participating wine estates, food vendors, sponsors and volunteers who helped make the event possible.

The continued success of the Brettenwood Wine Festival highlights the estate’s commitment to creating experiences that bring people together while celebrating South African wine, food and community spirit.
