KwaDukuza Crime Prevention Unit arrested nine men who were found in possession of drugs in Groutville and KwaDukuza Taxi Rank last week.
The unit made their first arrests on Thursday when they caught eight men who were in possession of dagga.
On Sunday, another man was arrested by the unit after being found with 115 straws of sugars, which is a mixture of residual cocaine and heroin.
KwaDukuza mayor Ricardo Mthembu has applauded the crime unit for their commitment to fight crime in the area.
“I condemn the perpetrators of such activities and apportion some blames to those members of the public who entertain drug abuse and trade,” said Mthembu.
