The following crimes were attended to by Umhlali SAPS over the weekend:
∙ A report was received of a sexual assault in Chakas Rock, where a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a family member on Monday, March 31.
∙ Tools were stolen from a house on Jasmine Drive early on Friday morning while robbers removed a window to enter a house on Colwyn Drive on Friday night.
∙ A Hilux bakkie was stolen on Compensation Beach road on Friday morning while the owner was surfing.
∙ A woman was assaulted with a spade in Shakashead after an argument with her boyfriend on Friday. Another woman was attacked with a panga near Bhowans farm on Friday.
∙ A man was arrested after he allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend in Etete early on Saturday morning. The attacker arrived in the middle of the night and raped the woman after she let him inside.
Umhlali SAPS arrested four people for selling liquor without a license, 10 for drinking in public and two people for possession of marijuana. Contact Umhlali SAPS on 032-9479900.
